It started with an idea. Let's pack all the goodness of yogurt into a drinkable daily shot. Why not?

1987

We began our research on fermented milk properties

We began investigating on the immune support of fermented milk and L.Casei ferments and took the first steps to develop a tasty yogurt drink that could be part of a healthy diet, on a daily basis.

1994

Actimel is born

Actimel was first launched in Belgium in 1994, quickly followed by United Kingdom and Ireland. Since, your Actimel has travelled the world and is now present in more than 35 countries.

2010

Actimel now with added vitamins

Our mighty little shots are now crammed with vitamins D and B6 that help support the normal function of the immune system.

2021

Actimel is now rich in vitamin D

We know vitamin D helps support the normal functioning of the immune system. That's why we've packed even more into our delicious shots so you can get up to 1/3 of the daily reference intake in vitamin D in only one bottle!

2022

Carbon neutral in Belgium!

Our immunity is also weakened by environmental factors, so as a brand we are championing collective action to overcome factors that weaken the collective immunity of our communities; starting with our CO2 emissions.

2023

Actimel introduces bottles without labels

At Actimel in 2023 we have advanced further in reducing our environmental impact through innovative packaging. That’s why the plastic labels were removed from Actimel’s bottles allowing the brand to boost recyclability, reduce the use of plastic and lower CO2 emissions.

2024

Actimel launches Triple Action formula

2024 marked 30 years of Actimel and the launch of a new innovation. Triple Action formula was created with Vitamin D for immune support, Vitamin C for antioxidant action, and Magnesium to reduce tiredness. Here's to three decades of innovation and health!
