At the heart of the French Alps.
Rain and snow become water at the Gavot plateau, known as the impluvium . Our water then filters through sand formations deposited during the ice ages, and emerges in the town of Evian-les-Bains.
Filtration
The water naturally filters for 15 years.
Layers of protected underground rock filter the water for over fifteen years. When it emerges at the evian source it contains a natural, characteristic mineral composition, giving evian its unique, crisp taste.

Until it emerges in the town of Evian-les-Bains.
The water emerges at the foot of the Alps in the town of Evian-les-Bains, where the evian natural mineral water was first discovered over 230 years ago. We have great respect for this region and the water it provides. For over 25 years, we've been in partnership with the local community to continue to protect this natural resource so our water can be enjoyed today, tomorrow and always.
